Happy Halloween from Mrs. Loecker's 3rd graders at Lincoln School!

3rd graders always love getting to meet their kindergarten buddies. Students in Mrs. Loecker's 3rd grade and Mrs. Drotzmann's kindergarten got together today to read Halloween and Fall books and color a picture. We were sad when our time was up, but we look forward to getting together again next month!

Mrs. Harris's kindergarten class had a 3rd grader read a Halloween story to them! She gave the kindergarteners a thumbs up for how awesome they were. The kindergarten students gave her two thumbs up for how well she read! What a fun way to have kiddos reading and listening to stories!

Lincoln Elementary Fourth Graders hosted their first Leaders' Showcase on Tuesday. They had a great time sharing projects, activities, and Opinion Slide Shows with their guests! Many thanks to all who attended this special event!!

It was our stuffed animal reward day in Mrs. Loecker's 3rd grade. The students got to work with their stuffed animal friend all day, as long as they were quiet and respectful. It was fun to see the variety of animals and characters that came to school today!

It was our hurricane test day in science! Students in Mrs. Loecker's 3rd grade enjoyed seeing if their model houses could withstand a "hurricane"...aka fan and spray bottle. All the houses stayed standing, but we lost a few parts of some roofs!

The "Coffee Cart" is up and going! Lincoln Elementary Student Council treated our staff with coffee and treats this morning! We appreciate each and every one of them so much! Thank you for all that you do!!!

I wish that I could have recorded the squeals of delight when Ms. Greene's Firsties were announced as the "Poppin up Leaders of the week!" It was a pretty amazing sound! Thank you to Kopetsky Ace Hardware for sponsoring this event! Your popcorn is delicious!!

Kindergarten and 1st grade students at Lincoln had a special visitor in Library this week as they read the book Sophie's Squash by Pat Zietlow Miller and Anne Wilsdorf. Mrs. DeLange's Kindergarteners are shown here with our new friend Bernice! We passed Bernice around and everyone had the chance to hold her. This was the first time some of us had seen a real live squash!

Mrs. Davison's class finished up a couple chapters in math with the Bakery Array activities.

This young man in Mrs. Bertsch's class met the 4th grade Math fact fluency goal in the first quarter!!! Way to go!! Mr. Beste and I hope everyone earns one this year. Keep up the hard work!!
