This is one happy Stewart Star Kindergartener!!

Mrs. Zimmerman’s 2nd grade students at Stewart enjoyed “Wellness Wednesday”. Students participated in yoga in the classroom, brought healthy snacks to enjoy outside, & went for a walk around the school at the end of the day.

from Stewart School reviewed using the scientific process by completing “The Great Cookie Dunk!” Students developed a hypothesis & experiment based on the question, “Do cookies sink or float in milk?” 🍪🥛




These Stewart students got to release butterflies after watching their transformation over the past month.




Stewart 2nd graders in Mrs. Zimmerman’s class created their own shoreline models to investigate how erosion & deposition can occur along beaches.




Stewart first graders practiced organizing information in math by making Fruit Loop Bar graphs!

Happy Easter from Mrs.Binde’s class!

Stewart 2nd graders are enjoying spring and they are busy creating artwork to brighten the hallways!

First graders in Mrs. Kapla's class used inspiration from Georgia O'Keefe to create flowers using watercolor paints. Our room looks like Spring has arrived!


Students in Mrs. Zimmerman’s 2nd grade class at Stewart created their own islands with clay to share their knowledge of different landforms & bodies of water. Later students will create maps to identify the various types landforms they chose to represent.



Stewart first graders learned about the parts of a plant and created a plant diagram. We also read about the life cycle of a plant. Now we just have to wait for our green beans to grow!




We’re finishing our color exploration unit with paint mixing fun at Stewart!



Stewart first graders celebrated Read Across America week with slime making, Dr. Seuss inspired art, and a read-in.




Students & staff at Stewart School participated in a “Seussical Scavenger Hunt” to celebrate Read Across America Week.

Mrs.Binde’s class took advantage of the beautiful weather and did their journal writing outside! Students wrote about something they could see, hear, smell, or feel.
