The Yankton School District uses a number of communication tools to engage with families and share news and updates about the great things happening in our school communities.

Website

The district and school websites are the home for information, cafeteria menus, calendars, news, and more. Websites are updated regularly with events, news, and pictures.

Events can be found in the Menu of the website. Events showcase up-to-date activities for all of YSD.

YSD App

Download the YSD app to access events, cafeteria menus, news updates, and even emergency notifications.

Community members who want to receive notifications of school closings, late starts, and early dismissals are encouraged to download the app.

Peachjar

Peachjar is our school’s digital flyer system, making it easy for you to receive important updates and information about events, programs, and resources.

Emergency & General Notifications

We use our mass notification system to send outreach and emergency messages to families and staff.

Types of messages include:

  • Messages from schools (principals, teachers, counselors, etc.)

  • Messages from the district

  • School delays and closures due to inclement weather

  • Emergency communications

Families must keep contact information and notification preferences updated in Infinite Campus to receive school and district communications.

Remind offers two-way communication between families and YSD. Download the Remind app, and get connected to your student(s).

Campus Student and Campus Parent are designed to provide real-time access to your student’s information. The easy-to-use design displays what is currently happening in the classroom so you can understand, monitor, and participate in their educational process. Infinite Campus Parent is available for all families with students currently enrolled at YSD.
