Congratulations to the 2020 YMS Mathcounts team members who competed in Sioux Falls on Thursday: Zac Briggs, Ben Merkwan, Tate Beste, Nolan Fennell, Mitchel Zimmerman, Aidan Harrell, Noah Harrell, and Nathan Pietila. The YMS team placed 1st overall in the competition and will advance to the State Mathcounts competition on March 14th.

Just a reminder that JrK/Kdg Open House and Registration is Thursday, February 20 at each of the elementary schools from 4:00-6:00 pm. Pick up a packet at any school or the Superintendent's office and bring your completed paperwork and birth certificate to register. Bring your child to see the classrooms and meet the teachers. We're excited to meet you!

Due to the wind chill temperatures predicted for the morning, Yankton School District will have a 10:00 AM late start tomorrow, Thursday, February 13. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately one and a half hours later than normally scheduled time.

Yankton School District will have an early release today at 1:00 pm due to the forecast of high winds and snow later this afternoon. Students in Junior Kindergarten through twelfth grade will be released at 1:00 pm. No afternoon Preschool at Webster School or afternoon Special Education Preschool at Stewart School. Buses will run accordingly.
