Did you know that the meal in the top picture meets the federally standardized requirements? To be a complete meal, it must have 3 of the 5 components (bread/grain, meat/meat alternative, milk, fruit or vegetable), with one of those being at least a ½ cup of either fruit or vegetable. While students aren’t required to take more as you can see there are lots of other choices to fill up on. We certainly encourage them to do so- and to try something new!
