Yankton Public Schools will not be in session from Thursday, April 17, through Monday, April 21. April 17 is a parent-teacher conference compensation day, and April 18 and April 21 are Easter Vacation days. School will resume on Tuesday, April 22.

They say Rome wasn't built in a day, but Mrs. Blaha's sixth grade social studies class built their Colosseums in one class period for their Rome building challenge!








We had two middle school students participate in this year's South Dakota Middle School All State Orchestra last weekend! Angela and Katie auditioned earlier this year and competed against other violin players across the state for a chair in this year's orchestra. Both of these outstanding students earned first violin parts and spent Friday and Saturday rehearsing and performing with students from other schools. Congrats, girls!!



GAZELLES GOLF SIGN UP: Girls in grades 7-12 interested in participating in golf this spring, there will be a signup in Coach Sime's room (235) at YHS after school on Tues, March 11. Unable to attend, please contact Coach Sime or Coach Heiter. Practice starts Monday, March 31.

Due to the power outage in Yankton that includes some Yankton School District facilities, the late start is canceled and Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, February 18.


Due to the forecasted early morning cold temperatures and to allow parents additional time for any issues related to the early morning cold temperatures, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Please check the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus.
