May 3, 2024, is School Lunch Hero Day!

Thank you for your service to Bucks Soccer, Coach Dannenbring! #WeAreYanktonSoccer

The Gazelles ⛳️ golf team will host the Yankton Invitational on Friday! Please help us wish the team good luck! Go Great Gazelles! 🏌🏻♀️

During a break in kindergarten screening, the introduction to education class got to experience what a kindergarten screening is like as well as ask screeners questions. Best of luck to all those future kindergarteners! There is a great group of screeners taking care of you!

Students in Mrs. Ladwig's Introduction to Education class have their ideal classroom dioramas on full display in the YHS library. They used their YSD school tours, research, and curriculum to design them. We have wonderful future educators in our system!

Congratulations to Miles, Chase, and Hunter on their upcoming graduation from YHS. These three have been great leaders and role models for the Yankton Tennis program.

Thank you YSD Principals!

The Buck tennis team earned themselves a split decision losing to a tough SF Lincoln team 9-0 and bouncing back with a convincing win over a very talented SF Christian team 6-3. We also celebrated our three seniors, Chase Howe, Hunter Eggen, and Miles Krajewski. What a day!

Two more conference road wins for the Bucks today. Yankton defeated Pierre 9-0 and Mitchell 6-3. Next up is SFL and SFC in Yankton on Tuesday. First serve is 11 am.

Due to the forecasted storm moving into the area with the possibility of high winds, rain and hail, Yankton School District will have an early release today, Friday, April 26 at 2:00 pm. We want to get all of the students home safely ahead of the potential severe thunderstorm. There will be no PM Early Intervention at Stewart and no PM Preschool at Webster. Buses will run accordingly.

Another great day for Buck Tennis is in the books. Two home wins is just what the doctor ordered. Next up will be Mitchell and Pierre in Mitchell on Monday.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that students will want to go outside when the sun is shining. ☀️
Mrs. Powell's AP novels class took a break from Pride and Prejudice to enjoy a brief walk outside. Like Elizabeth Bennet, everyone's eyes were brightened by the exercise!

⛳️ The Gazelles golf team finished in 7th place at the Pierre Invitational on Tuesday. Freshman Ellia Homstad was the top Gazelle finisher with an 89 (19th). Bailey Anderson recorded a 100 (34th) and Sabrina Krajewski a 101 (36th).

Celebrate Administrative Professional's Day!

The Bucks played well and earned two more road wins against Vermillion and Lennox today. Next up is Watertown and Brookings in Yankton on Thursday!

Thank you Bus Drivers! We appreciate you.

Tonight, Miles Krajewski was honored with a Proclamation from the City of Yankton for his recent selection to the 2024 Paralympic Team in Paris. From your Buck Basketball family we want to say a big... CONGRATULATIONS!!!

STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR 2024-2025
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open, with the process exclusively online. No paper forms will be distributed this year. If you are returning next year and are in grades K-4, we ask that you register by completing the annual census update in Infinite Campus. This update is a vital part of our record-keeping process and ensures that we have the most up-to-date and accurate information on file for your child. If you are not returning next year, please call your child’s school to inform them of your move.
Completing the census update will enable us to communicate important school-related information with you, such as emergency alerts, school events, and academic progress updates. It will also help us to ensure that our school is compliant with federal and state regulations, including those related to funding and program eligibility.
To complete the annual census update, login to your Campus Parent Portal account. From the “Menu”, select, “More”, and then “Online Registration”. Please complete your annual census update by May 3, 2024. For further instructions, please visit https://www.ysd.k12.sd.us/o/ysd/page/school-registration
