Huge thank you to the Yankton Community Library for donating book totes and to Casey's for donating snacks and pizza coupons! Winners also received some book-themed stickers and bookmarks to help with future reading. 📚
Last week Wednesday, the YHS Student Council hosted the elementary Student Councils for an afternoon of learning about and practicing leadership skills! It was a great time of building relationships and building skills as leaders of YSD!

Congrats to Francisco Reyes!! He will be traveling to Mitchell this weekend for the 2026 South Dakota All State Jazz Band. He is one of 46 students selected from across the state. The three jazz ensembles will rehearse Thursday night through Saturday afternoon. A 4 PM concert will be held at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center.

Author Coach Sloth is coming to our Yankton Elementary Schools next week, May 11-13! We are so excited to meet him and hear his inspiring stories!
