Gazelle Basketball finished up a week of camp for 1st - 12th graders today!!! Kids did great! Coaches had a blast! Coach Krier lost his voice!!! Thanks to our group of seniors who helped out with the younger groups!!! Looking forward to more time in the gym this summer!!! :-)

We continued with an 8th place finish in the 300 m hurdles for Cody Oswald and a 4th place finish for Sydnee Serck in the 800.
It was another great day for the Bucks and Gazelles. It started off with an 8th place finish in the shot put for Carson Haak. Austin Gobel placed 4th in the 400 m dash. Annika Gordon took 4th, while Shae Rumsey took 3rd in the girl’s 400.
What a way to end the day—our girl’s 4 x 400 team of Shae Rumsey, Josie Jensen, Sydnee Serck, and Annika Gordon won the AA gold medal and the overall gold medal for all classes. Unbelievable finish! Way to go, girls!!
What a great day at State! We have some place winners on day 1. Girl’s 4 x 800 team of Annika Gordon, Thea Chance, Shae Rumsey and Sydnee Serck placed 2nd. Tierney Faulk placed 6th in the triple jump.
And more boy’s place winners for day 1: Cody Oswald placed 3rd in the 110 m hurdles and Carson Haak got 5th in the discus and Bodie Rutledge got 8th in the discus.
Now for the boy’s place winners on day 1: boy’s 4 x 800 placed 8th, Austin Gobel placed 7th in the 100 m dash, and Zach Fedde placed 3rd in the 3200.

It is quite entertaining to watch relay teams pass a banana around the track and then have the anchor eat the “baton”. A banana can be eaten very fast if needed! Congrats to Charlie Foote, Rugby Ryken, Annika Gordon, and Austin Gobel for winning the annual YHS banana relays!
