Students interested in the musical: We'll hold a brief meeting on Tuesday, February 9, at 3:30 PM in the YHS Main Theatre to discuss the upcoming production of "On Dragonfly Wings." We will be making a movie this year, and it's going to be amazing! See Ms. Miner with questions.

Wrestler of the Week:
Way to go Dylan Sloan for earning WOW for the week of January 25-30! Dylan has been working hard in the practice room and keeps making improvements each week. This past weekend, his hard work earned him a strong 3rd place at the Brookings Invite!


A one-day in-service program for Yankton School District teachers will be held on Friday, January 29. There will be no school for students in Preschool through Grade 12 on this day.


Congratulations Will Pavlish for being Wrestler of the Week for the week of January 18-23. Will always works hard in practice and gives everything 110%. He placed 3rd in Chamberlain this past weekend from wrestling hard nosed and tough every match! Way to go Will!


This past Saturday, the Buck wrestlers traveled to Chamberlain for an individual tournament. It was a good day and the Bucks continue to improve each week! We had four wrestlers place in Chamberlain:

Today Nevaeh Leonard got to wrestle in her first individual girls' wrestling tournament and went 3-0! She got two pins and won a hard fought match in overtime, 5-3. Way to represent Gazelle wrestling!


There will be no school tomorrow, Friday, January 15 for the Yankton School District. Forecasted high winds and blowing snow will create unsafe travel.


Congratulations to Nevaeh Leonard for being Wrestler of the Week! Nevaeh wrestled well over the weekend at Madison placing 4th and then had a big win in the Varsity dual on Monday against SF Roosevelt to help Yankton win the dual! Keep up the hard work!


BIG NEWS as we move into 2021! Our musical in April will be a beautiful, joyful show called "On Dragonfly Wings." Our rehearsal and production process will be as virtual as possible this year, so things will look and feel a little different. Stay tuned for more information!
