Students in Mrs. Powell's British literature class spent some time playing Soliloquy Sort in order to translate Hamlet's famous "To be, or not to be" into modern English. 🎭








As voted on by their teammates, we are introducing our 2024-2025 Yankton Bucks & Gazelles Wrestling Team Captains! Come watch them and their teammates compete tomorrow night at 5 PM against Watertown and Beresford/AH right here at home in Yankton!

The leadership team of the Yankton Educators Rising chapter participated in a leadership conference in Sioux Falls. The conference sparked a whole new year of great leadership qualities and ideas to serve our community and solidify our futures as future and current educators.

Congratulations to Claire Kramer on being a four year South Dakota All-State Choir member. What an achievement!



We are halfway through the first day of All State Chorus and Orchestra Rehearsal! There are 1000 students in the choir and 150 students in the orchestra, with 19 students representing YHS this year! You can check them out tomorrow night at the Denny Sanford Premier Center or on TV through the SDPS TV channel.



On behalf of the Yankton Chapter of Educators Rising, we would like to congratulate Mrs. Lindsey Kortan for being selected as the November Teacher of the Month (YHS). Students and staff can nominate teachers/staff by scanning the QR code on posters around the school.



FFA test plot harvest is complete! Harvest by Titan Machinery-Yankton, test results by Helena Agri-Enterprises. Plot averaged over 210 bushels per acre! Big thanks to First Dakota Bank for lunch! Grateful for a generous community to make it all possible. #harvest2024
