Mrs. Stanosheck's ELA classes participated in the Read Bowl, logging their minutes reading for 4 weeks. 8th period won with an average of 598 minutes per student! Time for a pizza party!


"This is Me" collaborative painting
6th grade artists in Mrs. Lincoln's class created their collaborative painting today! These artists painted individual sections, assembled the paintings into one large painting, voted for a title, and decided where to hang the painting!





Mr. Sutera and Ms. Monier's first-period students practiced their Boystown Social skill of the week - Giving Compliments by making a compliment chain and hanging it in the hallway!


Our middle school wrestlers have been working hard this season and are eager to showcase their skills on their home mat. Hope to see you there today (2/5). Action begins at 4:30 pm.

A one-day in-service program for Yankton School District teachers and staff will be held on Friday, January 26. There will be no school for students in Preschool through Grade 12 on this day.


Due to the forecasted snow and high wind gusts with blowing snow causing poor visibility, Yankton School District will have an early release today, Thursday, January 18, at 12:00 pm. There will be no PM Early Intervention at Stewart and no PM Preschool at Webster. Preschool conferences for this afternoon and evening and elementary parent-teacher conferences for tonight are postponed. Buses will run accordingly.

Due to the early morning temperatures, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16. The weather forecast indicates the temperatures improving mid-morning and throughout the day. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. The YHS Dance Team Day Camp has been postponed to Saturday, January 20th from 1:30-4 PM. It will still be held at the Yankton Middle School north gym.

Due to being in a Winter Storm Warning with additional snow accumulation and strong winds predicted, there will be no school for the Yankton School District tomorrow, Friday, January 12, 2024. There is no school and no activities tomorrow.


Due to the forecasted winter storm moving into the area and being in a winter storm warning with much of the accumulating snow forecasted to begin later this afternoon, Yankton School District will have an early release today, Thursday, January 11 at 1:30 pm. After assessing the road conditions in the rural areas, the late start for Yankton School District has been canceled. Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, January 9 due to the poor road conditions in the rural bussing areas.
